Earth Day at LCCC

Here’s what we’ve been up to on Earth Day! 🌎🪴🌳🌱☀️

Every room has been pro-active in raising awareness and providing fun educational activities that teach our students about protecting the earth! Check it out!

Toddler 1 Room has been observing and learning about the lifespan of turtles. The class also painted pots for the seeds they’ve been planting. They also did a cognitive activity where they “Feel & Find” nature items.

Toddler 2, has been sponge painting a circle to represent the Earth.

Preschool 1 learned about the life cycle of frogs.

They did a unique take on Earth painting using shaving cream, marbles and paint for an beautiful result! It was fun and messy…of course the kids loved it!
The Preschool 1 also planted seeds and watered it daily.

Preschool 2 decorared their classroom bulletin board with beautiful art for Earth Day 🌎! Bordered with ladybugs and bees, surrounded by Solar System art and of course, our Planet Earth!

The students also enjoyed daily walks observing nature , rain or shine!

Kindergarten 2 enjoyed the class outside as it
was so sunny this Earth Day! ☀️🌎
Why not soak up the sun and soak up some fun educational activities that showcase habitats of animals all over the world. Why not encourage playing with dirt & nature! Why not get creative on the chalkboard as its so much better than using paper. Also why not enjoy snack on our picnic table with friends using plates rather than disposable plates & cups! The DIY Planet Earth hats were fun touch to wear outside!

Hope you enjoyed this week's Earth Day activities. Remember we should always do our best to protect and preserve our Earth! It's our future and its in our hands! Earth day is EVERYDAY!
