Sabeeta Patrick

Kitchen Manager

Hello my name is Sabeeta Patrick. I work as the full time Kitchen Manager at LCCC. I have been at this centre since it opened up in 1990.  I started out as the cook and then went into the Preschool Room and then the Toddler Room. However,  I decided to come back into the kitchen which has always been my passion. I lived in Etobicoke for over 40 years. I have seen the community grow and turn into something special.  I enjoy getting to know the parents and children past and present that have made it such a wonderful place to work.  When I am not in the kitchen I enjoy walking, running, camping, gardening and concerts. I enjoy passing along my gardening skills to the children at the Centre.  Each year I show the children how to plant in our little garden plot. It is a great tool in helping to teach children about fresh healthy foods and where they come from.

Fun Fact:  I did a makeover for women of colour on Omni Television a few years back.

Nashyla Laptiste

Float

My name is Nashyla and I am the float at LCCC. As the oldest girl of 5 children, caregiving has always been a part of my day to day life. Naturally, I turned to childcare as my profession and I’ve never turned back. I have been working with children for over 13 years now. In my free time, I enjoy doing crafts and DIYing. I love playing board games and participating in Karaoke! I am thrilled to be apart of the LCCC Family.

Suzanne Sinclair

Dietary Aide

Hi my name is Suzanne. I am one of the dietary aides at Lakeshore Community Childcare Centre and I have been an employee since 2015. I enjoy preparing nutritious and delicious snacks for the children daily following the Canada Food Guidelines and look forward to their feedback when I go into the classrooms. My experience has allowed me to understand the dietary needs of the children in the center’s care as well as snacks that they enjoy eating. My role is an important one as I am able to help to support healthy living and eating habits of our children. I love learning new things and challenging myself and I enjoy keeping in touch with my family back home in Jamaica.
