Hi, I’m Jessica. I have been in the childcare field since 2013 and have been working as a Registered Early Childhood Educator since I graduated from George Brown College. I have been working as an RECE for over 10 years and have worked with all age groups. I am excited to create an engaging and fun program alongside my teammates to create an amazing learning experience for the children and their individual needs. I enjoy being outdoors and being active. I also enjoy doing arts & crafts and like to incorporate these two aspects in the program.
Zipporah Monroe

Hi everyone! My name is Zipporah Monroe. I’ve been working with kids since 2019, and I’ve loved seeing how much they’ve grown and the progress they’ve made. I love interacting with them. I'm delighted to be part of the LCCC team! I think my favourite part of the job is getting to do art projects with the kids. I love seeing their creativity when I give them new materials to work with, and I'm inspired by what they come up with! In my free time, I love to travel and explore new places. And I really enjoy participating in Carnival, whether it’s here in Toronto or in other countries. I've been to 4 destinations so far and can't wait to explore more...
Derek Murack
Registered Early Childhood Educator
Hi, my name is Derek. I have been an RECE at LCCC since 2017. During my time, I have worked diligently to keep the program and classroom fresh and welcoming. Some of my favourite parts of working with children are teaching them through stories and connecting what we’ve learned from books to other areas of play such as art, sensory or dramatic play. Reading about animals, diverse heroes and silly stories are my favourite!
A highlight of a usual day is working with the children and setting up the classroom. I believe in the importance of teaching them how to set up and maintain centres in the classroom in purposeful and beautiful ways while enabling them to fully explore and engage their current interests with a developmentally appropriate approach. I enjoy researching natural materials, unique manipulatives and socially relevant books to enhance the experiences and aesthetics of the program and classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and dog, taking my niece on adventures, tennis and camping!
Darlene Quetalig

Hi, my name is Darlene! It feels great to be part of the LCCC team. I have been working with different ages of children since 2012. After I got my Hospitality and Business management diploma, I realized that my passion is childcare and found my way back to a daycare setting.
Being able to teach your littles ones and being part of their life journey is such a rewarding feeling! My teaching style encourages children to think outside the box, allow children to express themselves and provide a loving nurturing atmosphere. The most important thing is to have fun!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my 2 boys and family, travelling, listening to music, and cooking! One fun fact about me is: I would love to own a food truck one day! Teacher by day, Foodie by night.
