Sandra Fernandes

Registered Early Childhood Educator

Hi, My name is Sandra Fernandes. I came to Canada when I was two years old when my parents and I immigrated from Portugal. Over the years my family and I have been involved in the Portuguese Community dancing in folklore and have performed in different cultural events. I am currently a Preschool 1 teacher.

I graduated from George Brown with a Diploma as an Early Childhood Educator in June of 1990 and in July of 1990 I was a full-time employee of the center only six months after they opened their doors. LCCC has not only built my career over 30 years but also my family.  Both of my daughters Annabel & Melissa attended the center as children and also worked at LCCC. Annabel followed in my footsteps and still works in the center & Melissa went into Business. LCCC has been like a second home to me. I look forward to helping build a solid foundation when it comes to the upbringing of the children at the centre.

Stacey
o'neil

Registered Early Childhood Educator

Hello, my name is Stacey and I am an RECE in the Preschool 2 classroom at LCCC. I have been a part of the LCCC team for over 5 years, and I love the community we have built here. I have been working with children for over 11 years in a variety of settings but LCCC is by far my favourite experience! My teaching style encourages children to explore and be creative partners in planning our program. That means their interests drive what we focus on. I'm a big fan of the outdoors, so I try to bring the natural world into the classroom as much as possible. In my spare time, I like to read or make art. I really enjoy using watercolours or practicing my calligraphy to relax.
