We're excited to see the comings and goings of more spring events and holidays throughout our centre. And this time around, LCCC celebrated all things eggs and bunnies as the classrooms geared up for Easter!

As educators we are in a position where we're able to scaffold children's interests from a fleeting notion, to deep curiosities, and eventually into full-fledged ideas and cognitive analysis. Of course every activity that our educators prepare and implement is geared towards the developmental level of the children in their care. Which is why these past few days, we were delighted in seeing recreations, representations and dramatizations of the Easter Bunny himself, as the children had been in great discussion of his arrival for several weeks.

We saw classrooms introduce Easter in ways such as sensory bins to promote fine motor and inquisition. Creative arts to promote representation and self-awareness. And a playground wide egg hunt with the Easter Bunny himself to promote physical movement, cooperation and spatial awareness.

From season to season, one holiday to the next, it's always such a joy to watch how the children in our care react with excitement and awe to something they care about. It brings us happiness too, knowing that they were able to experience something that is important to them. All while learning through play and creating the building blocks for future understandings and activities that our educators look forward to bring into their classrooms.
Happy Easter everyone! We're excited for many more spring activities ahead, here at LCCC.
