Happy Easter to every bunny!
Before LCCC began our Easter long weekend, the classrooms were full of busy bunnies prepping the Easter decor they were soon to bring home including glitter eggs, baby chicks, little bunnies and pretend baskets. It's always so exciting to see each unique activity that our classrooms create during these special occasions, and the Easter creations are certainly impressive. Check out these eggs-cellent Easter-inspired projects in the different LCCC classrooms.
Toddler
The toddlers were encouraged to use their fine motor skills to make decorative paper eggs and pretend paper plate baskets. The use of different colours and mixed media makes for such unique and interesting art pieces. Way to go Toddlers!
Preschool
Texture was everything in these Preschool egg-making activities! Preschool 1 created puffy paint in bright colours and spread it onto card stock eggs. While Preschool 2 rolled glue-covered foam eggs into a glitter mixture.
Kindergarten
The Kindergartens created mini bunnies and chicks using felt, pompoms, googly eyes and glue. Amazing attention to detail and an adorable outcome!
School Age
School-age created abstract egg creatures using various facial components and limbs. As well as creating watercolour resist Easter eggs, drawing inspiration from the Ukrainian “Pysanky” eggs for Easter.
As always, we love seeing the creativity in all of our classrooms, and how they incorporate seasonal holidays throughout the year into their daily programming. Way to go, teachers and children of LCCC!
The Easter activities turned out great.
Happy Easter from LCCC!
