Friends and family of LCCC, we are writing this post with a heavy heart. Christie Leja, passed away suddenly on Monday May 2nd 2022.
For those who do not know her, Christie was a former staff member and daughter of the former Director Lisa Tjernstrom.
Christie grew up at LCCC. She was a child here, a volunteer, a supply staff and then admin assistant. She always wanted the best for LCCC and worked hard to help out in any way she could. She was a great listener to everyone who was in need of a friend and kind words. Her work was an integral part of LCCC. Christie was always laughing, smiling and even singing Broadway numbers in the hallway or office. Christie was a beautiful beacon of light that filled the lives of those around her with love, joy and positivity. The staff loved her, LCCC families loved her and the children adored her.
